A Contest of the Lake Winnipeg Writers’ Group
This creative writing contest is open to everyone. All entrants receive a one-year LWWG Electronic Membership.
Three Adult Categories:
- Poetry — maximum three pages or 1500 words
- Fiction — maximum 2500 words
- Non-fiction— maximum 2500 words
Three Youth Categories:
- Poetry —maximum three pages or 1500 words
- Fiction — maximum 2500 words
- Non-fiction— maximum 2500 words
Photo Contest:
Open to adults and youth alike. Colour file of a minimum of 600 dpi (dots per inch) or 1 Mb (megabyte). Send entries on a CD or USB drive along with an entry form.
For each category:

| First | $100 | $75 |
| Second | $75 | $50 |
Photography:
- First Prize: Your photo will feature on the front cover of our next Voices.
- Second Prize: Your photo will feature on the back cover of our next Voices.
- Limit of two entries per participant.
All winners in all categories will be awarded a certificate.
Entry fee:
- Adults: $10 for first entry, $5 for a second entry (limit of two entries per category).
- Youth: $5 per entry (limit of two entries per category)
